You're Under Arrest! The Police Takes Your Breath Away

The Police Lock Up 2007 Reunion World Tour
HOLLYWOOD, CA (rushprnews) 02/12/07 –
“Ladies and gentlemen, we are The Police and we’re back,” Sting said at the Grammy Awards, after 23 years of saying it wouldn’t happen.
The Police will kick off a world tour May 28 at the GM Arena in Vancouver, BC before heading to cities including New York, Boston, Seattle, Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Dallas, New Orleans, St. Louis, Toronto and Montreal.
The group told the press of the tour at a rehearsal at the Whisky a Go-Go, the intimate Sunset Strip club where the group had played in its earliest days when New Wave and punk were just taking root.


Sting said “creative differences,” Hollywood-talk for the screaming battles that once were reported, were behind them, saying "The nature of the arguments were all about music .... also hairstyles."
"We refer to Sting as our dear leader," drummer Stewart Copeland said. Guitarist Andy Summers added “On a good day.”
Tickets will run $50 to $225 with a portion going to WaterAid, a charity that brings clean drinking water to those in need.
The tour will move to Europe in September and October, then returning to the U.S.
"I woke up one morning about three months ago — it's like a light bulb went off in my head ... I'm going to call Andy and Stewart," Sting said. "What's happening is sort of very healing."
As for the production, Sting said "It's just going to be three guys on stage. The show is going to look simple but spectacular."
The trio will stick to Police material and not include Sting's solo hits.
