The network also won a Grand Award, eight Gold World Medals and 26 other medals and certificates for television programming and promotion.
Here are some of the details:CBC News: the fifth estate - Rogue Agent won the Grand Award for Best News Program, as well as a Gold World Medal for Best Investigative Report (Longform). Rogue Agent told the troubling story of Mike Danton, the young NHL player who hired a hit man to kill his former coach and agent. The investigative documentary program was also the recipient of two other Gold World Medals (Fasten Your Seatbelts - Best Public Affairs Program, and Tsunami - Untold Stories - Health/Medical category), a Silver World Medal (Failing Jeffrey), a Bronze World Medal (A Few Bad Apples) and two Finalist Certificates.Other Gold World Medals were won by:
