Jolie and Pitt to Adopt Vietnamese Boy
By Anne Howard

(rushprnews) 07/03/2007- It has been reported by a Vietnamese adoption agency that actress Angelina Jolie and husband Brad Pitt are adopting a boy between the age of three and four year old from Vietnam.
The child who has been living since infancy at the Tam Binh orphanage on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City was chosen during their recent visit by the celebrities and humanitarians but the planning started last fall. According to Vu Duc Long, the head of the justice ministry's international adoption department in Hanoi, the adoption will be completed within three months and the boy should be moving to the U.S. within that time. Normally an adoption takes four months and up, but Vu stated "since the papers had been filed months ago, it will take three months top". Jolie and Pitt had visited the orphanage this past Thanksgiving and are believed to have chosen the boy at the time.
As the United Nations' Goodwill ambassador since 2001, Jolie has brought world attention to the suffering of refugees and children’s victimization. She was awarded in 2003
with the first
Citizen of the World Award from the UN's Correspondents' Association.
Jolie and Pitt have one daughter together named Shiloh born in May, and two others adopted by Jolie prior to her marriage to Pitt. Pitt has since adopted them as his own.
