Time Change Can Drive You CooCoo

NEW YORK-N.Y.(rushprnews)03/16/2007 --- Change.  The very word can strike fear in the heart of many – and not in a spare-change-found-in-between-the-cushions-of-the-couch sense, but as in “it is time to make some changes” or “things are going to change around here” or “change of plans.

” Even something as seemingly simple as the change to daylight savings time can leave many of us feeling frazzled, frenetic or just in a funk.  According to David Malin, a renowned healer and expert in coping with change,  “Change – whether a time change, career or relationship change, transitioning into retirement, moving, growing older, parenting, or trying to break a habit – can be fraught with challenges. When facing change, it is important to remember that in spite of the struggle, change presents a remarkable opportunity for self-discovery, healing and growth.”

Malin offers the following tips for coping with the time change, and suggests using the extra hour of light after work to: 

• take your kids and/or dog to the park


• go for a run or walk


• find a buddy and: shoot some hoops


• grab your mitts and a ball and play some catch


• find a quiet place to watch the sunset


• take a nice stroll breathing in the smells and sounds of spring


• go fishing


• plant some flowers or vegetables


• take time to reflect and be thankful for the “found time”
