“Harry Potter” Stars Leave Their Wand Prints in Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD, CA (rushprnews) July 10, 2007 - International teen stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint literally cemented their place in Hollywood history Monday when they placed their wand, hand and foot prints in the hallowed concrete of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Hundreds of fans flocked to the city to catch a glimpse of the stars, and the screams almost drowned out the gracious remarks of the “Harry Potter” trio.
Grint said, “[I was] shaking out there I was so nervous. I’m so proud to be a part of this.”
Similarly, Watson said “This was the biggest thing I’ve done in my entire life.” In an interview with Hollywood Today, she added, “I was amazed they asked us. I couldn’t believe it. That’s such a big deal. I was really, really flattered. It’s just amazing to be doing it, really amazing.”
Radcliffe relished the privilege of being honored alongside greats like John Wayne. He said, “My favorite John Wayne moment is in a really early John Wayne movie. . . he’s walking through the square and he’s quite young and there are all these birds in the square. He walks in and
they all flutter away and he goes, ‘Get out of my way, pigeon,’ which is just fantastic. So if I can have my handprints next to that man, then . . .”
The honor comes at a pivotal point in the lives of the threesome as their latest “Potter” film hits theaters and the reported final book in the series hits shelves. All three have veritably grown up on the big screen, an experience none of them really regret.
Watson said, “I remember, especially with the earlier films, Dan and Rupert would grow a
couple of inches by the end of shooting because it was so long or by the time the film was released. And that was kind of crazy. And I remember, on the second one, I was still losing teeth.” She continued, “I’ve never grown up any other way . . . And we’ve been doing it since we were so young, so I can’t really remember what life was like before I was in these films. . . It’s just the way it is.”
“I don’t think you realize when you’re growing up,” Radcliffe said. “I think it’s just one of those things that just happens to you. Then somebody shows you a photograph of yourself when you were ten and you recoil in horror.”
Horrifying photos aside, Grint said, “It’s only when you look back on the first one that you really realize how much we’ve grown up together. It’s been really fun, though. . . It’s been really cool.”visit
