Semiconductor Insights Acquired by CMP Technology

Semiconductor Insights announced today that it has been acquired by CMP Technology

Ottawa, Ontario (rushprnews)July 27, 2007 -Semiconductor Insights announced today that it has been acquired by CMP Technology, which operates such publications as EE Times, sites as www.techonline.com, and events as the Embedded Systems Conference.

SI has derived significant value from its four-year editorial relationship with CMP, and CMP has benefited from the unique content supplied by SI. Over the past year, it became clear to both parties that they would accelerate their growth by working as one. CMP is currently transitioning from a pure play media company to an "information services" company, and SI is very excited to be able to help accelerate this transition.

SI will merge into the Technology Innovators Group, which is one of the largest divisions of CMP Technology, which spans across the Electronics, Software, Game and Communications markets.

SI will continue to operate as a standalone business unit under the Semiconductor Insights name; and, it is business as usual for SI, our clients, and employees. The one difference is SIs access to a greater pool of assets and resources that will enable us to invest in new technologies and offerings for our clients.
