HOLLYWOOD, CA (RUSHPRNEWS) September 9. 2007 – Former MSNBC journalist turned author Rita Cosby is making headlines this week over her new book, “Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith’s Death.” Former Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole passed away six months ago yet hers life’s story continues to play out. This time around, the story centers around the two men in Smith’s life, former boyfriend and vindicated father of her baby girl Dannielynn Larry Birkhead and longtime companion and lawyer Howard K. Stern. The two men lie in the center of the biggest bombshell in the never-ending Smith story. Cosby claims in her book that the two men were homosexual lovers who plotted a “secret deal” overs Smith’s estate and the custody of little Dannielynn.

In the wake of these claims Birkhead responds angry and outraged stating, “This is going to be one of the most expensive lawsuit settlements in book publishing history.” Birkhead adamantly denies the claims and further accuses Cosby of being opportunistic in timing, “Rita uses this week…that my daughter turns one and the anniversary of (Smith’s son) Daniel’s death to try to sell a book or two.”

Fueled with same anger by the allegations, Howard K. Stern, the other party claimed to be involved in the tryst, is also planning to take action against Cosby and her publishing company, Grand Central Publishing. Stern’s lawyer, L. Lin Wood states that Stern “plans to file aggressively and pursue a libel case.”

Author Cosby does not seem to be concerned with any legal battles, instead she claims that she has eyewitness accounts, including that of Jackie Hatten, her main source and self-proclaimed best friend to Smith. Cosby further fuels the fire in her book, stating that two nannies allegedly saw Smith watching a sex tape that showed the men shirtless and in compromising positions. Cosby says the underlying reason for why she began writing back in April was to uncover the twisted paternity and estate plot that Birkhead and Stern had been scheming.

This “Blonde Ambition” bombshell still remains to unravel as Birkhead and Stern prepare to relentlessly battle it out with Cosby fighting for their reputation. On the other hand, Cosby remains cool as a cucumber stating that the book was “carefully vetted through attorneys” and moreover Birkhead has been seen to be “inconsistent on many other things.”
