Animal Lovers Seek Resignation of Montreal/Laval SPCA's Director

MONTREAL, (RUSHPRNEWS) March 1, 2008 -We invite you to join us in exposing the flagrant irregularities at the Montreal and Laval SPCA, under the direction of Pierre Barnoti and his associates on the board of direction. As per the CTV special investigation seen from February 11^th to the 15^th, there are proofs that considerable sums were misappropriated and not used for the protection and well-being of the animals, unfortunate enough to be in these shelters.

We invite you to join us in exposing the flagrant irregularities at the Montreal and Laval SPCA, under the direction of Pierre Barnoti and his associates on the board of direction. As per the CTV special investigation seen from February 11^th to the 15^th, there are proofs that considerable sums were misappropriated and not used for the protection and well-being of the animals, unfortunate enough to be in these shelters.

We demand that the board holds an extraordinary meeting urgently and ask the resignation of the director and his board which must be done prior to elections and would allow honest and devoted persons to apply. Forensic accounting is long overdue! Too many honest employees and volunteers were fired as they showed their loyalty to animals and dared ask pertinent questions. They were outraged that it was tolerated that some would personally benefit from the organisation’s funds, to the detriment of the suffering animals. It is now time that mercantile and dishonest behaviour never again have a place to grow within the SPCA. Dignity and respect towards animals must prevail. The animals waiting in death row have no voice and no choice; all they have is US. PLEASE BE THEIR VOICE AND DEMAND THE RESPECT OF THEIR RIGHT TO A QUALITY OF LIFE AND DIGNITY. We must individually and collectively assume this responsibility on behalf of the animals. We owe them so much more... They deserve nothing less...

Let’s fire perversity and dishonesty, once and for all! This is a spontaneous gathering and no group or individual is managing this event. We are all united so that loyalty and truthfulness overcomes!

Nous vous invitons à vous joindre à nous qui osons dénoncer les irrégularités flagrantes ayant lieu à la SPCA de Montréal et de Laval, commises sous la direction de Pierre Barnoti et de ses acolytes au conseil d’administration. L’enquête approfondie, telle qu’exposée par CTV du 11 au 15 février 2008, a prouvé hors de tout doute que des sommes importantes ont été soit utilisées à des fins personnelles, soit détournées de leur objectif de protéger les animaux. Nous sommons le conseil d’administration de tenir une réunion extraordinaire et de façon urgente afin que soit exigées la démission du directeur et de certains membres du conseil qui lui sont liés, qui n’ont pas encore eu la décence de le faire. Trop de gens honnêtes ont été congédiés pour la seule faute de leur loyauté envers les animaux. La population ne doit plus tolérer que s’enrichissent certains au détriment du bien-être et du droit à la VIE des animaux, et qu’ils continuent à profiter de façon mercantile et cruelle des pouvoirs qui leurs sont conférés. Les animaux qui croupissent inutilement dans le couloir de la mort, sans voix et sans choix, n’ont que la population pour les représenter. DEVENONS LEUR VOIX ET EXIGEONS LE RESPECT DE LEURS DROITS. Nous devons collectivement assumer cette responsabilité envers les animaux et exiger la tenue de nouvelles élections et nominations au sein du conseil d’administration, pour que la perversité n’y ait plus de siège.   Il s’agit d’un rassemblement spontané et aucun groupe ou aucune personne ne dirige cet événement. Nous sommes tous et toutes unies pour que la loyauté triomphe. Nous vous y attendons en grand nombre afin que la voix de ceux qui n’en n’ont pas soit enfin entendue!
