Runnin' Raiders Look To Ground High-Flying Seahawks

Oakland, CA (RUSHPRNEWS)08/30/2008--The Oakland Raiders, (1-2 SU, 1-1 ATS, 0-2 O/U), have fielded one of the league's best rushing attacks this preseason, averaging 175.3 yards per game on the ground . The Raiders are coming off of consecutive preseason losses, falling at home to the Arizona Cardinals 24-0 on Saturday juts one week after losing to the Tennessee Titans, 17-16.

The Raiders went 4-12 last season and an unimpressive 6-10 against the spread, though they did go 10-5-1 in all O/U wagers last season.

Defensively, Oakland has struggled throughout the preseason, recording poor statistics in every area except the most important one - points allowed per game. The Raiders, despite ranking in the bottom third against the pass and run, have allowed just 15.7 points per game during the preseason, (12th).

The Seattle Seahawks, (2-1 SU, 3-2 ATS, 2-1 O/U), have led all of football in offense this preseason, averaging a whopping 414.1 total yards per game while also putting up a league-leading 26.7 points per contest.

Defensively, Seattle has limited their opponents to just 267.0 yards per contest, (seventh) while allowing 20.3 points per contest defensively, (23rd).

The Seahawks are coming off a solid 10-6 record last season and also recorded a winning ATS record for online NFL bettors in the BetUS Sportsbook, going 9-7 ATS and 7-9 O/U.

The Seahawks lost to the San Diego Chargers 18-17 on Monday, after winning each of their first two preseason games.
