NEW YORK (RUSHPRNEWS) 09/22/2008--From the looks of things, Ne-Yo was serious when he said that he was going to be branching out and doing other kinds of music. According to reports, the "Miss Independent" singer has put the brakes on a recording session with The Pussycat Dolls to hit the studio with Marilyn Manson."We're about to go into the studio together," Ne-Yo said. "I've wanted to work with him for ages and his people reached out to me when they heard."
Although Ne-Yo said that the collaboration is a sure thing, he is unsure about what direction their musical mash up will go in. "I have no idea what the music will sound like or what direction we'll take, but it will be really cool," he explained. "We're obviously two separate sides of the musical extreme but that's what makes it exciting. People might think it's a strange collaboration, I don't."
Even though Ne-Yo doesn't know much about the music just yet, he says that he does know that he won't be adopting any of Manson's "quirky" ways.
"But don't worry, you wont see me adopting his style," he assured fans. "I don't think you'll ever see me in makeup."
