PubCon Las Vegas Kickoff Keynote Address

Austin TX/Las Vegas NV.(RushPRnews)10/23/08- Shawn Rorick, Director of Marketing for Cirque du Soleil's Resident Show Division, to Give Keynote Speech at PubCon, Las Vegas, 2008.PubCon, the search engine and Internet marketing conference and expo, has announced Shawn Rorick will give a Keynote Speech at the Las Vegas Convention Center, on November 11-14, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rorick is Director of Marketing for Cirque du Soleil's Resident Show Division in North America.

Brett Tabke, PubCon founder and show organizer, said, "Shawn is responsible for marketing of the greatest entertainment franchise in Las Vegas history. While the Rat Pack and Elvis laid the foundations of Vegas, today's Strip lives and breathes on a potent mix of resident Cirque Du Soleil shows. Knowing what is next in marketing is not just a nice idea for Cirque - it is a requirement. Remember about a week ago when the press discovered that presidentail candidate Barack Obama was doing "in game" advertisments on Xbox? Rorick was doing that stuff with Cirque two years ago. This is Vegas - go big or go home!"

Rorick holds double Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Business Management with an Associate's degree in Aviation Flight and Aeronautics from Southern Illinois University. His interests focus on direct marketing and branding innovations via emerging media finding early opportunities in web development and digital formats that led him to specialize in multiple online marketing practices. Previous companies Rorick has worked for are Cox Interactive Media and MGM MIRAGE Resorts. In addition, he is Chairman of the Las Vegas Interactive Marketing Association (LVIMA).

Tabke continued, "Rorick, along with our other keynote speakers of Satya Nadella, corporate vice president of the search and advertising platform group at Microsoft, and George Wright, of Blendtec's "Will it Blend" fame, an expert in viral marketing techniques, will head our educational, topical and cutting-edge conference, packed with many networking opportunities for attendees."
