WASHINGTON, D.C. (RPRN) 08/20/09 — Announcing NAAIA’s 2009 National Conference Addressing"New Beginnings: The Challenges and Opportunities of Change" Slated for October 22 - 23 in Chicago, IL

- The National African-American Insurance Association (NAAIA) announces that its 2009 National Conference will be held October 22 - 23 in Chicago, IL at The Palmer House Hilton Hotel.

"The 2009 National Conference will highlight several changes in the Insurance Industry that present both challenges and opportunities to African-American industry professionals. Additionally, we will champion the use of teamwork as a key to success," says Ron Allen, NAAIA National Chairman. The 2009 National Conference theme is "New Beginnings: The Challenges and Opportunities of Change."

The National Conference will bring together insurance industry professionals from various roles and disciplines to participate in an interactive agenda. In particular, attendees will represent leadership and staff roles from insurance agency / broker organizations and insurance companies. "The diversity of talent and perspective embodied by the NAAIA membership and supporters will emphasize the value of collaboration," says Allen.

Consistent with the goals of NAAIA, the National Conference will enhance and support the career development of African-American insurance professionals attending from across the country. The conference agenda will feature compelling speakers, roundtable discussion forums, continuing education workshops, a networking reception, and an awards ceremony honoring insurance professionals who have made significant contributions to the insurance industry.
