LOS ANGELES (RPRN) 09/22/09 — The Daily Show Wins 2009 Emmys for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series and for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Series

According to Comedy Central The Daily Show host Jon Stewart, he has the best f#@king news team ever, bringing the news unburdened by objectivity, journalistic integrity or even accuracy. The satirical news series took two Emmy Awards tonight. That brings the show to 13 wins and 32 nominations in ten years. It’s also won the Peabody Award.

The Daily Show looks at news, trends, pop culture, current events, politics, sports and entertainment with an alternative point of view. Anchorman Jon Stewart and a team of correspondents, including Aasif Mandvi, Wyatt Cenac, John Oliver, Jason Jones and Samantha Bee, cover the day’s important news events.
