Blackberry Bold 9700 Released on T-Mobile

LONDON, UK (RPRN) 11/15/09 — The second incarnation of the email focused Blackberry Bold mobile phone has now been released on T-Mobile tariffs, the new Blackberry Bold 9700 follows on from the original Bold 9000 adding new features and technology into a smaller and lighter designed handset.

The Blackberry 9700 Bold is a name that attracts attention. The name Blackberry has become a household name that is synonymous with connectivity. This latest model to be introduced to the consumer is a well designed and crafted handset which offers many of the usual features found in a phone in the current market. It is 109 mm x 60 mm wide whilst being 14 mm thick. It comes with a full QWERTY keyboard on the front face as well as an impressive display screen.

The colourful screen is a TFT screen that displays 65,000 colours and is 2.4 inches in size. It has a pixel resolution of 480 x 360 pixels. As mentioned, the full QWERTY keyboard is housed underneath the screen and offers quick and effective data and text entry. A touch sensitive optical track pad offers alternative means of navigation around the functionality and is extremely responsive to touch.

The camera provided with the phone is a 3.15 mega pixel camera which operates at 2048 x 1536 pixels. The camera comes with auto focus and the useful addition of an LED flash as well as image stabilisation. Video recording and playback are also provided as an alternative to static imagery.

Connectivity is what this handset is all about and it comes fully loaded. GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Blue tooth and microUSB are all provided and offer every means possible for connecting to multiple devices for a number of tasks.

The inclusion of an MP3/MP4 player offers the ability to download and play a wide variety of file types, such as MP3, WMA and AAC+ as well as DivX and 3gp. The phones internal memory is 256 Mb, however, the handset usually comes with a 2 Gb card to be used in the microSD slot. This can also be used to expand the memory up to 16 Gb.

The Blackberry 9700 Bold, much like its counter part the Blackberry Storm2, is an impressive mobile phone that focuses on the element of connectivity with the outside world. It offers excellent functionality and superb styling. Its popularity is justified.
