HOLLYWOOD,CA (RPRN) 03/06/10 — Bridges “Crazy Heart” & Sidibe “Precious” Get Spirited Away

–“Crazy Heart” and “Precious” had all the spirit they needed to win big at this year’s Film Independent Spirit Awards show. Lee Daniels with Gabourey Sidibe Win Together By Tom Wright Lee Daniels got his justice winning as Best Director for “Precious”, which won the Best Feature at Friday night’s Film Independent Spirit Awards, this film won all the categories in which it was nominated. It may not win the Oscar but it won the hearts of the millions that saw this heart warming and emotional charged film. Sharing the win was actress Gabourey Sidibe for Best Lead Female and Mo’Nique for Best Supporting Female with Geoffrey Fletcher winning the Best First Screenplay.

Jeff Bridges "Crazy Heart" Best Lead Male With a little help from T Bone Burnett and Ryan Bingham, Jeff Bridges sang himself into the history books, pick up two Spirit awards, on stage Bridges performed the theme song “The Weary Kind” from the Oscar nominated film “Crazy Heart”. Bridges also won Best Lead Male for his performance and was it honored as the Best First Feature. Not Bad Mr. Blake.
