New York City Plays Host To First Ever Social Events Expo at South Street Seaport

New York, NY (RPRN) 03/08/11 — On Saturday, May 7^th, 2011, over 30 of the top social networking and events companies will all come together under one roof for a day of networking, socializing, learning, training, information sharing, connecting and partying for the first ever Social Events Expo (www.socialeventsexpo.com), hosted at Sequoia at The South Street Seaport.

The Social Events Expo will feature premiere companies that are focused on the lifestyles of typical professional adults ages 21-50!  Dating services, young professionals and activities groups, networking organizations, travel and vacation companies, technical resources, fitness, entertainment options, Lifestyle coaches, and much more will be represented in the expo rooms at Sequoia Restaurant. The event will take place from 1pm-7pm with post expo activities planned throughout the night and into the morning!  Each company will have representatives on hand to consult, converse and share information with attendees.  During this time there will also be demonstrations, classes, panel discussions, scavenger hunts, group lunches and dinners, group tours of the Seaport, speed dating sessions and performances that will be of interest to many. 

Expo co-creator Dave Cervini calls the day a “Google search with real live people”! adding “This event is the perfect opportunity for busy young professionals from all backgrounds to come together and expand their social horizons and activity potential”.  Co-creator  Will Petz points out that “In the city that offers everything, it now offers a place that singles, couples, locals and people new to the city can find things to do and people to do it with”.

SCHEDULE
1pm: Expo opens
1pm-7pm: Hourly presentations, demos, etc. in the events room
7 -9pm: Happy Hour
9pm-2am: The Ultimate New York Social Networking Dance Party

Dave Cervini is a former on Air Personality and Promotion Director at WYNY,WKTU, Jammin 105, Big 105 and Power 105 radio in NYC.  Dave has run thousands of social events in NYC for over 13 years both professionally and as a volunteer.  Dave now owns the New York Social Network

( www.Newyorksocialnetwork.com ) a social networking and activities company founded in 2004. Although pairing people up is not the main focus of his business over 50 couples credit Dave for getting married through the different events he has hosted.

Will Petz’s professional career of 11 years includes holding a Vice President position of mobility in five major investment banks, managing small to large projects.  In 2009 Will founded Random Events LLC.
