DeKalb,IL (RPRN) 03/19/11 — Spence Company launches the Kiva Program; supports Kenyan dairy farmer
Last week, Mike Spence, CEO of the Spence Company launched the Kiva Program with a small but important investment in milk production; 14 other investors also invested in the business.
The recipent of the small investment fund was Micheal Kamu Kimondo, an farmer in Kenya. Mr Kimondo plans use the funds to buy a dairy cow for milk production and use the profits for land development.
The investment was done in parntership with The Kenya Agency for Development of Enterprise and Technology (KADET), a partner with World Vision International.
The Spence Company has a passion for entrepreneurship and encourages others to support small businesses not only in the U.S., but worldwide.
