MONTREAL (RPRN) 04/12/11 — Formal art auction at the Hôtel des Encans on April 14th to benefit AIDS Community Care Montreal (ACCM), Saturday, April 14 at 6 PM

ARTSIDA, the third annual art expo and fundraising auction to benefit AIDS Community Care Montreal opened for a three week exhibition March 23^rd (with a vernissage Sat March 26) at Galerie Dentaire, 1239 Amherst, concluding with an auction at Hotel des Encans, 872 rue du Couvent on April 14th. Cocktails and buffet at 6pm, auction at 7pm. Tickets are 35$.

General rules for live auction

All sales are final. No purchase can be returned, refunded or exchanged. All property is sold ‘’as is” as exhibited. Successful bidders must be prepared to pay for their purchase in cash, MasterCard, VISA or Interac on the evening of the auction. No GST or PST is applicable.

Projet HOPE makes no warranties or presentation of any kind or nature with respect to any work of art including, but not limited to, any representation or warranty of description, genuineness, provenance or physical condition, nor as to the right of reproduction, if any. Bidders and purchasers may not rely upon any statement of Projet HOPE, oral or otherwise, other than as set forth in these conditions of sale.

Conditions of sale

Each work carries an estimated market value obtained from sources that Projet HOPE believes to be reliable, but no representation or warranty as to be the actual resale value of any work being auctioned is made or implied. The estimated value is intended as a guide to assist you in your bidding.

Live auction

All bids are per item as numbered & specified, unless otherwise announced by the auctioneer at the time of sale. If your bid is successful, you will be asked to pay for your purchase immediately. Title to the offered lot will then pass to you, and you will thereupon assume full risk and responsibility for the work purchased by you.

ARTSIDA

If the auctioneer determines that any opening bid is not commensurate with the estimated value of the work offered, he may reject the same and withdraw the work from the sale.

In the event of any dispute between bidders, a missed bid, or in the event of doubt as to the validity of a bid, the auctioneer will have, at his discretion, the final authority either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the work in dispute. If any dispute arises after the auction, the Project HOPE record of the auction proceedings shall be conclusive.

Pickup of artwork

Purchasers may pick up works at anytime upon proof of payment prior to the conclusion of the auction evening. Projet HOPE is not responsible for acts and omissions of carriers or packers of purchases.

Absentee bids

ARTSIDA executes absentee bids as a convenience for its clients and is not liable for inadvertently failing to execute bids or for any errors relative to the execution of absentee bids. In the event of identical absentee bids, the earliest received will take precedence. Successful absentee bidders will be notified by telephone and the purchase will be charged to your MasterCard or VISA.
