Manchester, UK (RPRN) 05/06/11 — Leading pressure-sensitive labelling machine specialists, Harland Machine Systems, have won the prestigious International Trade Award at the annual Salford Business Awards.
The ceremony, sponsored by Talk Talk Technology, was held at the Lowry Hotel on Thursday 7th April 2011. The awards celebrate Salford-based businesses that have shown excellence in various categories. This is the second time Harland have collected an award at the ceremony; last year they received the runner-up award for the same category.
Upon winning the award, Harland received congratulations from Barbara Spicer, Chief Executive of Salford City Council and Rt Hon Hazel Blears MP for Salford and Eccles. Rt Hon Hazel Blears declared that Harland winning the award was "a wonderful achievement and a testament to all the hard work and determination by the exceptional team, especially in the difficult economic times".
Harland have shown excellence in tackling international markets and have demonstrated this through various activities including securing distributers and attending exhibitions around the globe. Harland have been greatly received in international markets, with their success reinforced by a healthy international order book.
Harland plan to build on their international success by tackling their market share in the South America. This will help increase their foothold
