African American Expressions Offers New Holiday Cards and Calendars
African American Expressions has a wide variety of 2012 Calendars.

Sacramento, CA (RPRN) 09/14/11 — African American Expressions (www.black-gifts.com), the largest black-owned greeting card company in America, released its popular array of Calendars and Holiday Cards this month. The market leader in Afrocentric gifts does not disappoint with this year’s selection, which includes twelve calendar titles and dozens of new Christmas and Kwanzaa cards.

Popular calendar titles return, such as “Sunday Morning,” famous for its joyful images of gracious women beautifully dressed in their signature statement hats. Veteran bestseller, “Too Blessed to be Stressed,” is illustrated by artist Dorothy Allen, who brings the celebratory attitude of the African American church to life with vibrant colors and lively movement. The 2012 “Black History” Calendar is a beautifully designed testament to black historical figures whose monumental achievements have positively impacted history. The “All That Jazz” calendar grooves like never before with the colorful, soulful artwork of Charles Rogers bringing to life that smooth jazz experience.

African American Expressions’ newest title, “Lifted Up,” is already a customer favorite, gaining the attention of major retailers, gift shops and bookstores

nationwide at this summer’s trade shows. “Lifted Up” features the vibrant and jubilant work of artist Theresa Cates. Her work depicts faithful characters praising the Lord and feeling His blessings, and makes a great addition to the African American Expressions calendar line.

Theresa Cates also joins the ranks of artists such as Steve Parson and Sandy Clough, whose paintings grace African American Expressions’ new Holiday Cards. This year’s Christmas cards feature Nativity scenes, beautiful angels and images of family togetherness, and as a special new feature, they now come with colorful matching envelopes. The Kwanzaa Collection has been updated as well, offering a beautiful boxed set that includes five card designs.

For twenty years, African American Expressions has been selling America’s best selection of quality gifts at affordable prices, all designed for the African American consumer. From its inception in 1991, when the company sold just three greeting card designs, African American Expressions has grown into a multi-million dollar enterprise that sells over 2.5 million greeting cards per year. Company founder and president, Gregory Perkins, attributes his company’s success to his own personal faith in God. “I could not have done this without Jesus looking out for us,” he says. “Anything is possible when you have faith.”
