"Regretting Fish" Screens Next At Williamsburg Independent Film Festival

BROOKLYN, NY (RPRN) 11/09/11 — After recently taking home "BEST SCREENPLAY" and "BEST FEATURE FILM" AWARDS at Williamsburg International Film Festival 2011, Regretting Fish will have it's third New York City Festival Screening at Williamsburg Independent Film Festival Friday, November 18th, 9 pm at IndieScreen.
Writer / Director Brad Saville's second film is a crime noir about regret: Fisher Galloway is a criminal who has just stolen $500,000 cash from his former employers, a French Drug Cartel. As he makes plays to leave New York City, he finds himself employing the help of his ex-fiance, Verity, inadvertently subjecting her to the inevitable consequences of his theft. As the net tightens around Fisher, he slowly realizes that a criminal can trust no one: not even himself.
Regretting Fish, shot on a micro-budget of $12,000 over 12 days, has garnered two Maverick Movie Award Nominations for "Best Screenplay" and "Best Cinematography," along with being Official Selections of Syracuse International Film Festival 2011 and Astoria / LIC International Film Festival 2011.
Brad Saville's first feature, Williamsburg, is currently available on Special Edition DVD and was recently acquired by IndiePix. His plays - 3 full-lengths and 10 shorts - have been produced on stages throughout New York City by various companies since 2006.
The film features an ensemble cast from the STAGE - The Amoralists Theater Company's William Apps, Sarah Lemp, and Matthew Pilieci - SCREEN - Penny Bittone (Holly Rollers), Richard Brundage (Chasing Butterflies), Luis Vega (Another Earth), Carmel Amit (Taking Woodstock), and Stass Klassen (Return to the Hiding Place) - TV - Nick Flint (Home and Away) - and, NEWCOMERS Madeleine James and Tim Scott.
