Middle Class Brits Most Regular Users of Online Vouchers Finds DiscountVouchers.co.uk Survey

London, UK (RPRN) 03/05/12 — A new user poll conducted by leading voucher codes website DiscountVouchers.co.uk reports this week that the UK's financially squeezed middle class are those consumers who use the most online vouchers. The poll results indicated middle class shoppers like to retain quality of life while working to a restricted budget.

The money-saving website polled UK consumers on spending practices, and uncovered a generation of middle class web users with a penchant for loyalty to their favourite brands.

The leading ten places in the UK where consumers like to use online vouchers are:

• Twickenham
• Guildford
• Truro
• Chester
• Canterbury
• Durham
• Dorchester
• Doncaster
• Motherwell
• Chelmsford
 
Gerard Doyle, DiscountVouchers CEO, commented:  “We regularly poll consumers around a range of retail issues, and this time we found that shoppers in Twickenham and Guildford are the most likely to use online vouchers. Up to four times as likely as the average consumer in fact."

“Furthermore we found that consumers in cities like Liverpool and Leeds are those less liable to using voucher codes to save. Shoppers in these places are as much as three times less likely than the average shopper to utilise online vouchers.”

In recent months DiscountVouchers.co.uk has had great success offering a range of vouchers redeemable at supposedly middle class stores like Ocado, White Stuff, M&S and French Connection.

The places in the UK where consumers are less likely to save money through using voucher codes were found to be:

• Liverpool
• Leeds
• Sunderland
• Telford
• Dundee
• Luton
• Glasgow
• Wolverhampton
• Bradford
• Edinburgh
