Troy, Alabama (RPRN) 03/26/12 — NEW BOOK BY ALABAMA ARTIST
Bonnie U. Holland, Alabama's renowned botanical artist and award-winning cookbook author, has published the first of her memoirs, RURAL HOME, Recollections and Reflections.
She spent almost two years writing RURAL HOME, which was taken from her thirty plus years of journal writing.
Bonnie tells, "I'm working on a sequel because I have an abundance of life stories to tell. My publishing experience has been absolutely wonderful- only 6 weeks from submitting my manuscript to Amazon/Kindle to holding my printed book in hand.
I expect the Rural Home sequel to be finished by the end of 2012." RURAL HOME reads like a visit with an old friend. Chapters include reflections of childhood memories, recollecting times of difficulty by the hands of family members, growing up with polio, dealing with aging parents, love, and more. This author's wit and wisdom abound on each page.
The theme carried through the book is to be positive and grateful. Bonnie Holland lives and works from a beautiful, historic plantation home with her husband and a rescued dog in Pike County, Alabama.
RURAL HOME, is available in print or e-book at trafford.com/bookstore, Book-a-Million and Barnes and Noble bookstores and online.
