Advanced Pain Care Appoints New CEO
Rob T. Hardy, CEO of Advanced Pain Care

AUSTIN, TX (RPRN) 06/25/13 — Rob T. Hardy joins Advanced Pain Care as the Chief Executive Officer effective Monday, June 17.

Rob Hardy, who is Board certified by the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American College of Medical Practice Executives, has an appreciation for the provider and clinical side of healthcare from his many years in healthcare administration. After his mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2008, Hardy was also able to gain an understanding of the healthcare continuum from the most important piece, which is the patient perspective.

“Rob has a proven track record for increasing patient, physician and employee satisfaction. I am looking forward to utilizing his leadership skills as we continue to strive for the best patient experience possible,” said Advanced Pain Care founder, Dr. Mark Malone.

Hardy has worked in healthcare administration for more than 18 years, has lived in Central Texas for 34

years – the most recent 10 in Williamson County - and most recently served as an interim Administrator at a small critical access hospital on the Texas Gulf Coast. He holds degrees in Health Education and Healthcare Administration from The University of Texas Austin, and Texas State University in San Marcos. He and his wife, Carol, have been married for 26 years and they have 2 daughters.

“Healthcare today is a very fluid and rapidly changing environment with multiple factors including the aging of America, federal and state regulations, and an increasingly demanding and informed patient. Fortunately, for people like me, this affords many opportunities,” he said. Hardy went on to say, “As I became more knowledgeable about the practice of pain management, the high regard that Dr. Malone enjoys from his peers in the healthcare community, and the visible positive change he and his staff are able to make in this vulnerable patient population, the choice to join Advanced Pain Care was an easy one.”
