ATLANTA, Ga(rushprnews)05/15/2006 – Crossroads Career ® Network, a leading career ministry for churches and those in career transition, has selected He Said It, I Did It: Lessons from My Father on Mastering Personal Finance by Charles W. Buffington, Jr. and Charles W. Buffington III to further its mission of sharing God’s glory by  providing career advice, guidance and resources. As a special promotion, Crossroads will offer one free year of career assistance to individuals  who purchase a copy of He Said It, I Did It. For full details, please visit www.crossroadscareer.org.

He Said It! I Did It! (Orman Press, Inc., $24.95) teaches readers how to master personal finances and break free – once and for all – from the vicious cycle of debt. In He Said It! I Did It!, father-and-son authors Charles W. Buffington, Jr. and Charles W. Buffington III use Biblical-based financial principles to explain how to create real wealth and begin living a life of abundance. A comprehensive guide to personal finance, He Said It! I Did It!  addresses such issues as  investing, the basics of finance, avoiding debt, investing in real estate, the importance of keeping good credit, tithing and stewardship, setting – and reaching – financial goals, and more

The Crossroads Career ® Network is made up of member churches that have career ministries led by a team of trained volunteers who have a heart for helping people who are at a crossroads in their careers – plus connection to a network of like-minded churches, employers and career seekers. Crossroads Career Network has positioned itself as a leading career ministry for churches that want to help those in their congregation and in their community discover God’s calling, find or create the right job, and grow in Christ.  A subscription-based service, Crossroads Career Network offers a variety of resources, guides and tips for employers, job seekers, as well as churches who minister to people in career transition.

Peter Bourke, Volunteer CEO of Crossroads, said he felt that He Said It, I Did It addressed a number of issues pertinent to ministries and job seekers:  “Financial stress often goes hand in hand with career transition. He Said It, I Did It addresses important financial and spiritual topics common to those who are searching for a new job or career, or beginning and furthering a ministry. We are pleased to support and endorse what we feel is a worthwhile and sincere ministry that parallels our own mission of helping people find God’s calling, find or create the right job, and grow in Christ.”

Charles W. Buffington, Jr. says he is both humbled and thrilled by the partnership with Crossroads: “Our partnership with Crossroads is one for which we give great thanks. In Crossroads, we have found a ministry whose goals, and vision of helping those in need of guidance, advice and facilitating spiritual growth mirrors our own and we feel richly blessed by this opportunity.”
