Mark Cutler creating new sound
for
(
"They have been doing most of their recording at the Ruff Stone Tavern in
North Providence," said Tony Caramadre owner of Phattones Studio in
Mark and "The Men of Great Courage" Jimmy Berger, Mike Tanaka, Dickie
Reed, Bobby Gillespie, David Richardson, Bob Kirkman and Phil Hicks along with
recording technicians from Phattones Studio in
Cutler, originally from the Schemers, Raindogs and Dino Club fame has also
played with fellow artists Emerson Torrey (a founding member of The Schemers)
and Scott Duhamel (of Dino Club) while working on this project.
Mark Cutler, in a recent prepared statement said, "We're still in the
process of ironing out the best approach to recording all these instruments in
a live situation. The plan is to get a few of the best sounding recordings out
in some form. The gigs have been a real lot of fun and we're getting better and
better with each performance."
Among the sounds included in these performances are a bluesy harmonica,
accordion, mandolin, banjo, bass and more.
The Ruff Stone Tavern is owned by Sean Feeley formerly of the band MX and his
wife Diane.
