NEW YORK (RUSHPRNEWS) 09/09/2008–A New York judge has reportedly allowed 50 Cent to spend more time with his 11-year-old son, Marquise Jackson. According to The Association Press, yesterday September 8, Judge David Freundlich ordered 50 Cent to see his son every other weekend until an October 22 custody trial in family court.
Shaniqua Tompkins, 50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his son, filed a restraining order against the rapper which limited him from seeing his child after she accused 50 Cent for ordering the blaze.
One of his homes in New York purchased for 2.4 million dollars in January 2007, and at the center of a lawsuit between 50 Cent and ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins, caught fire on May 31, 2008 while he was out of town filming for a movie in Louisiana. Tompkins, who lived in the mansion with Marquise, has publicly claimed that 50 Cent ordered the fire. The rapper has denied the allegations. 50 Cent and Tompkins began fighting over the house after the rapper attempted to have her evicted from the home unless she paid rent. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
Outside the courtroom 50 Cent disclosed to the New York Daily News that he plans to relax after closing another convoluted legal chapter with his child’s mother.
“I’m going to hang out with some women,” 50 Cent said. “Make some music, make some movies, and continue to kick it.”
