Supermodel’s Heavenly Rise to Glory Started with Susan J Model & Talent Management
TORONTO-ON (RUSHPRNEWS) July 16, 2008 – Mississauga supermodel Daria Werbowy will be getting a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame this September. Her rise to stardom started modestly in Mississauga as a Ukrainian-born immigrant, when in high school, Susan J. Burych from Susan J Model & Talent Management discovered her. Susan J. states” When I first saw Daria, I immediately recognized the great potential in her, even though at the time, she was just an awkward teenage girl”, she added, “her eyes with this incredible hue of blue and her stature made her stand out and I knew that with the proper grooming and development, she could be a star in her own rights. And look at her now”.
Â
Daria, who started modeling at the age of 14 under Susan J’s guidance, has since appeared in ads and on runways for such fashion houses as Hermes, Valentino, Missoni and Versace. Last year, Forbes magazine listed Werbowy as the ninth-highest paid model in the world, earning $3.5 million. A true Canadian success story, Daria now 24, no longer resides in Mississauga but has stated that she would like to retire from the modeling world at age 25 and move back to her native town to open an art gallery. With her present success, her dream is within reach, a proof that good management from the start is the step to take to successfully strut on the catwalk. Â
