Academy Grants $450,000 to U.S. Film Festivals
Beverly Hills, CA (RUSHPRNEWS) October 25, 2007— The Academy Foundation of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has awarded $450,000 to 20 U.S. film festivals for the 2008 calendar year, Festival Grants Committee Chair Gale Anne Hurd announced today.
Two festivals, the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and the Virginia Film Festival, will each receive a total of $75,000 over a three-year period to help develop long-term projects. The Los Angeles Film Festival and the San Francisco International Film Festival will each receive $50,000 this year as part of multi-year grants awarded in 2006 and 2007, respectively.
