Britney returns to the spotlight after…you know…
By Mary Montserrat-Howlett
NEW YORK(RushPRnews)11/24/2008–Fans will get the chance to see if Britney still has it, when the pop singer makes her grand comeback, performing her new single Womanizer, from her latest album, Circus, live on ABC’s Good Morning America, December 2. The anticipated appearance, to be held at Bryant Park, NYC, comes after a highly publicized breakdown that spiraled out of control and nearly ruined the young singer’s career. But Spears turns a new page, as she performs on the day of her 27th birthday, and everyone’s invited to “blow out the candles”.
Spears has rocketed through the ups and plummeted through the downs. Since day one of the “baby one more time” era, Spears is a hot target for the media. She has been at the top of the entertainment industry, whether in record sales, concert tours, endorsements or magazine covers. But the all too-real breakdown, resulting from constant media attention; a nasty divorce with off-and-on again boyfriend, Kevin Federline; losing full custody of her two boys; poor record sales of her last album; and a shaved head that shocked the nation, Spears’ GMA performance could be her chance to show she’s overcome her battles.
While fans were able to catch a glimpse of Britney at Madonna’s Dodger Stadium concert, Spears fans don’t have to wait until the b-day performance on GMA to see their favourite pop star. The singer heads off to Europe for a performance on the popular French TV show “Star Academie†which fans will be able to catch on YouTube November 28.
