Hollywood(RushPRnews)31/10/08— Celebrity parents seem to be going all out this year, with costumes, candies and good old trips to the pumpkin patch, and a few tricks and treats up their sleeves. Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott’s kids will be “bugging it out” on October 31. Tori shared potential costume ideas for her kids Liam and Stella. Because her son Liam loves the animated movie “The Bee Movie†he might be a bee. “Or†Tori says, “he might be a dinosaur — he’s obsessed with them but calls them horses!†As for Stella, “She’ll be a ladybug ‘cause that’s her nickname.â€
Actress Shirly Brener, who plays the role of Natalya in Overture Film’s “Righteous Kill†starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, as well as a role in Lindsay Lohan’s upcoming film “Labor Pains”, is enjoying the spirit of Halloween this year, with three year old daughter, Mila. Shirly tells RushPRnews, “Either she’ll be a butterfly princess, a candy corn, or a princess ballerina.†But whatever little Mila does decide to wear, “it absolutely must have wings and antennas!â€Â Shirly and Mila will be teaming up with neighborhood buddies, Sony producer, Alison Phillips and her two kids, Teagan and Monroe for a night of spooky excitement.
Shirly is certainly not the scared-type though, even in her experience with legendary actor Robert DeNiro, or A-list actress Lindsay Lohan. The actress told RushPRnews that contrary to prior media coverage, Lohan is actually quite “quiet “and “timid.â€
Sightings of a handful of celebrity parents have also been reported taking their kids to Mr. Bone’s Pumpkin Patch in Los Angeles. “Spiderman†star Tobey Maguire escorted his wife Jennifer Meyer and their daughter Ruby Sweetheart around the Halloween spot. TV stars Marcia Cross and Tori Spelling also made the pumpkin patch trip with their husbands and children.
Some celebrities also took this chance to do good, partaking in the Dream Halloween® annual fundraiser event for the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation. On Saturday, Jada Pinkett Smith and her daughter Willow Smith, (whose birthday just happens to be on October 31), both dressed up for the 15th annual Dream Halloween® Los Angeles event that took place at the Santa Monica Barker Hangar. Jason Priestley and his family also dressed up for the festivities.
The organization is devoted to providing social, educational, recreational and other critical support programs to vulnerable children impacted by HIV/AIDS in the U.S. and other countries. Each October hundreds of families in costume attend Dream Halloween events in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. The event benefits the more than two million children worldwide living with HIV and an additional 15 million who have been orphaned due to AIDS. A treat that could bring sweetness, to children in need.
