MillerCoors Chooses Chicago for HeadquartersCompany to Join Thriving Business Community
CHICAGO (RUSHPRNEWS) July 21, 2008– MillerCoors announced this week that Chicago will be the location for its new corporate headquarters. The joint venture between SABMiller and Molson Coors will be based downtown and will contribute to an already thriving business sector. The city’s world-class services and location in the heart of the country continue to attract businesses from around the world.
“The decision to select Chicago as the location for our corporate headquarters was made to achieve our goal of becoming the best beer company in America by having access to an attractive base of talent, transportation and business resources,” said Tom Long, president of MillerCoors. “We are grateful to the State of Illinois and City of Chicago for their support.”
According to The Economist, Chicago ranked as the world’s fourth-largest city economy in 2005. The city is driven by a metropolitan population of 8 million. Twenty-nine of the world’s Fortune 500 companies are headquartered in Chicago.
