CLAUDE MILLER’S “UN SECRET” TO CLOSE MONTREAL WORLD FILM FESTIVAL
MONTREAL, Canada (rushprnews) July 31, 2007 – The Montreal World Film Festival has announced that Un Secret, the latest film by veteran French director Claude Miller, will close its 31st edition on September 3. As well as competing for the Festival’s Grand Prize of the Americas, the film will be getting its world premiere. The director and his principal actress Cécile de France will be in attendance.
Un Secret retraces the life of a Jewish family after the second world war. The exploration of a dark family secret and the story of a passion, is told through the interior journey of François, a solitary child who invents a brother and imagines his parents’ past. On his fifteenth birthday, a family friend tells François a shattering truth that will enable him to develop his own personality at last.
Adapted from Philippe Grimbert’s novel, Un Secret is Claude Miller 13th feature and features a stellar cast including Cécile de France, Patrick Bruel, Ludivine Sagnier, Mathieu Amalric, Julie Depardieu and Yves Jacques.
Un Secret will be released in Canada by TVA Films and will appear on local screens this fall.
