NAPLES, Fla (RPRN) 6/18/2009–Cruise Naples has partnered with the Freedom Waters Foundation to host an upcoming cruise for the Collier County Therapeutic Day Camp and senior residents of The Inn of Cypress Cove (an assisted living facility), on Tuesday, June 23th at 10 a.m. Approximately 30 children from the Therapeutic Day Camp and 15 residents of the assisted living facility will enjoy the beautiful Gordon River and Gulf of Mexico aboard Cruise Naples’ 1.5 hour narrated boat ride.
Collier County Parks and Recreation Day Camp provides an equal opportunity camp for children with disabilities within the county. And, the Inn of Cypress Cove provides a home for those who need additional care. Both groups rarely have the opportunity to enjoy the pleasures and joys of boating.
Cruise Naples is providing the “Double Sunshine†boat, for this excursion as part of their community outreach services, in cooperation with the Freedom Waters Foundation, a non-profit that provides boating opportunities and marine related activities for people with disabilities, youth at risk and others with special needs.
Cruise Naples had a permanent, certified wheelchair ramp installed specifically to ensure the safety and comfort of their guests. “Many of these children have not had an opportunity to get out on the water and enjoy a cruise around Naples,†stated Lance Julian, of Cruise Naples. “We’re thrilled we have the opportunity to provide them with this experience.â€
