Garry Foisy to open Acoustic Dance Show at Perishable Theater
Pawtucket, Rhode Island, (RUSHPRNEWS) 05/21/2008- Garry Foisy has been named to open the show for Paul Zunno and Stephanie Harris at Perishable Theater in Providence for a limited engagement on May 29th to 31st.
Harris, best known for her powerful yet graceful choreography will dance to Zunno’s blues, rock and roots music. Their show offers a twist on the traditional solo acoustic concert by incorporating professional dance which is gaining interest throughout the United States and Canada.
Foisy, who is from Pawtucket and a member of the Rhode Island Songwriters Association recently won 3rd place in the Stone Soup Rhode Island Idol 2008 Songwriter Competition. He has been nominated numerous times for Best male Vocal and Best Singer-Songwriter.
Maria Benson’s Centre for Dance in Cranston will also be joining this performance and Paul
Zunno, lead guitar for Wilson Picket for many years has scheduled a workshop at Guitar Center in Warwick on May 28th from 5pm -6pm
Perishable Theatre’s mission, according to Artistic Director Vanessa Gilbert, is to “connect Rhode Island audiences with groundbreaking works for the stage that are innovative in both form and content. As a Research & Development theatre, Perishable Theater produces and presents an unusually wide range of performances to audiences of all ages, daring them to challenge assumptions about how we live today.â€
Onesock Productions is presenting the show which starts at 8pm from Thursday, May 29th to Saturday, May 31st at Perishable Theatre, 95 Empire Street, Providence. Tickets are $20 or $15 for students/seniors and are available online at www.theatermania.com or by phone at 866-811-4111.
