Halle Berry Gives Birth to Baby Girl
Oscar-winning actress and baby girl are “doing great”

HOLLYWOOD, CA (RUSHPRNEWS) 3/18/08 – Halle Berry may have won an Academy Award for her role in “Monster’s Ball,” but now she has a different kind of role to fill—motherhood. The 41-year-old actress gave birth to a baby girl at an undisclosed location Sunday. A spokesperson for Berry reported to several news outlets that mother and daughter were “doing great.”

This is the first child for Berry and her boyfriend, 32-year-old French-Canadian model Gabriel Aubry. The pair began dating in November 2005 after meeting at a Versace fashion shoot. Berry has been married twice—once to baseball player David Justice and once to musician Eric Benét—but never had children. In the past, Berry has stated publicly that she never intends to marry again.

In addition to “Monster’s Ball,” Berry is well known for her stint as weather-conjuring mutant Storm in the “X-Men” film trilogy. The actress’ next of four upcoming movies will be “Tulia,” which will be based on controversial drug arrests in Texas in 1999. It is expected to be released next year.
