I Am Because We Are on Saturday, June 7 at the Traverse City State Theatre in Traverse City, Michigan.
Traverse City, MI (RUSHPRNEWS)06/12/08 — MyNorth.com (www.MyNorth.com), the online home of Traverse, Northern Michigan's Magazine, videotaped interviews of the revelry as people bought tickets to Madonna's documentary, I Am Because We Are on Saturday, June 7 at the Traverse City State Theatre in Traverse City, Michigan. Many had been waiting in line overnight, some for days. The video (http://www.mynorth.com/My-North/Video/), available free on MyNorth.com, captures the building excitement of the fourth annual Traverse City Film Festival. Traverse also provides printed Film Festival information in a special section of its August issue, Filmgoer.
"The street outside the State Theatre Box Office was buzzing with excitement," says MyNorth.com marketing director Rachel North. "People camped out overnight, some for days, and claimed they were exhausted, but you couldn't tell from the energy level." On the video, North interviews folks who stood in line with their dogs, braved thunderstorms, drove all night through tornados and dressed up as Madonna.
