HOLLYWOOD, CA (rushprnews) 5/28/08 – The media has been abuzz with speculation over the relationship between entertainer Lindsay Lohan and close friend Samantha Ronson since the two were photographed kissing aboard rapper P. Diddy’s yacht in Cannes, France last Wednesday night. Speculation must go on, however, as Lohan’s father, Michael, has claimed his alleged admission to Usmagazine.com that the two were dating was actually a comment about his ex-wife’s new reality show, “Living Lohan,” which was truncated and taken out of context.On Tuesday, the Web site posted a claim by the Lohan patriarch that the link between the two women was “evident to anyone with half a brain,” implying that the two were romantically involved. However, he later told New York’s Daily News that he was not referring to Lindsay, his oldest daughter, and was unaware if she and Ronson were more than platonic friends.

“They’re friends. They’re always together,” Michael Lohan said after telling the newspaper that his eldest had the right to make her own choices in life. “I hug my friends. Does that make me a homosexual? Of course not.”

Ronson, 30, is a noted British DJ and nine years Lindsay Lohan’s senior. Though the pair has faced public scrutiny over their potentially passionate affection for several months (beginning with Star magazine releasing intimate messages purportedly sent to Ronson by Lohan), last week’s photographs reignited public interest.
