Sticky and Sweet tour to Nice, France for a sold-out performance
NICE, FRANCE (RUSHPRNEWS) AUGUST 27, 2008–Last night, Madonna took her Sticky and Sweet tour to Nice, France for a sold-out performance that included more than just music and dancing. It seems the 50-year-old songstress has been creating some waves on the political front with her concert’s opening video montage that compares Presidential Candidate John McCain with Adolph Hitler and President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe.
Â
And McCain’s people are calling such comparisons, “outrageous, unacceptable, and crudely divisive all at the same time.” McCain’s spokesman Tucker Bounds told press, “The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time.”
He continued, “It clearly shows that when it comes to supporting Barack Obama, his fellow worldwide celebrities refuse to consider any smear or attack off limits.”
Barack Obama’s people also slammed the video saying, “These comparisons are outrageous and offensive and have no place in the political process. We hope that John McCain will offer a similar condemnation as his allies increasingly practice sleazy swift boat tactics.”
