Singer and Songwriter Mark Verabian to Perform at After Party for Congresswoman Diana DeGette (D-CO) at the 2008 Democratic National ConventionÂ
Denver, CO (RUSHPRNEWS) August 26, 2008 — 2008 Democratic Convention – Singer and Songwriter Mark Verabian to perform at After Party for Congresswoman Diana DeGette (http://degette.house.gov/) (D-CO). Verabian has been personally selected by super delegate and Congresswoman Diana DeGette (D-CO) to perform at her invitation-only party in Denver, CO. Congresswoman Diana DeGette is on the executive committee for the 2008 Democratic Convention and discovered singer songwriter Mark Verabian at one of his recent performances and immediately booked him for her 2008 After Party.
Verabian’s effortless style unites the timeless sound of Tony Bennett, the seductive inflection of Norah Jones, and the “cool” and charisma of Dean Martin. Verabian’s voice transcends the era of the classics and makes them new again. The results are inevitable.
The audience looks no further.
Verabian has embodied the work of these musical legends in his style and has been anointed by his audience to carry the torch, bridging the era of the “cool” jazz style to the new generation.
Verabian is performing with his 14 piece band “The Martinis” and has performed as the headliner for Fortune 100 companies such as Microsoft, Lexus, Ford, Intel, GM, Porsche and many others.
Verabian opens for artists such as Cheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt, Trisha Yearwood, and Leanne Womack.
At the 2008 Democratic Convention, Verabian is doing his small part to save and protect the environment by using eStand software in his performance.
The eStand (http://www.estand.com/info/) software allows him and his band to perform without the need of printed music. “Hopefully by going digital with our music, we can do our part to save a few trees in the process,” said Verabian.

About Mark Verabian:
Verabian captures the timeless standards and makes them his own. His performances takes his audiences on a complete musical journey while his vocal range covers all styles of music, including Jazz, R&B, Rock, Latin and classical.
Verabian was discovered by his audience…accidentally. While working at a wedding as the DJ, a wedding party guest requested their favorite Frank Sinatra song which wasn’t included in the evening’s musical repertoire.
As fate would have it, Verabian ever the showman, improvised with his own voice delivering Sinatra’s “My Way.” A wedding party guest remarked, “Tonight a Star is Born.”
