Academy to Celebrate Joseph L. Mankiewicz with Centennial Salute
LOS ANGELES (RPRN) 5/18/2009–Oscar®-winning actors Sidney Poitier and Martin Landau will join Mankiewicz’s family and friends in a special onstage salute. In celebration of the legendary writer, director and producer Joseph L. Mankiewicz, the Academy will present a recently restored print of “Suddenly, Last Summer,†the psychological drama starring Katharine Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift.
