Detroit, MI (RUSHPRNEWS) JULY 23, 2008— “Mom, I’m bored!” The three words every parent dreads will soon be spoken unless parents “nip it in the bud,” so says Michigan school teacher DJ Duey. Many parents will say “play outside,” or “put on the new video game,” or even “go watch TV.” But parents who want their children to retain what they learned during the school year all summer long will be thinking of ways to keep their kids busy in fun mind engaging activities.
One way parents can keep their children occupied, entertained and active is by giving them an educational CD with music they can dance to.
Mr. Duey, an elementary and middle school teacher and musician, has produced an album of music designed to teach children Math, Science, English and Social Studies with songs about Integers, Nouns, Cells and many more subjects. Educational leaders promoting innovative teaching interventions have described Mr. Duey’s CD as a revolutionary tool to advance academic learning. “It’s the perfect item to give to kids for the summer and they won’t think they are being forced to ‘learn’ something,” says Duey.
