— Bob Anderson, CMSgt, USAFR (Ret) and Dave “James” Bond, Col, USAF (Ret) announce the creation and implementation of What Are We Fighting For?â„¢ – an association focused on re-Americanizing America and supporting our troops. This association will appeal to those citizens that:- Find dissatisfaction with the direction this wonderful country appears to be going
– Are experiencing a burning desire to do something about it
– Believe Freedom ain’t Free
– Believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman
– Believe that our borders should and could be secured
– Are willing to serve, sacrifice and spend themselves in defense of the America that our Founding Fathers intended
– Wish to protect its citizens and their rights to free speech, freedom of religion and those “unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”
What Are We Fighting For?â„¢ is based on the principles of citizenship, service and sacrifice and the tenets of the founding fathers of this great nation – men who believed in their actions and their actions matched their words. We believe each citizen is required to earn and fight for his/her continued freedoms and the privilege of living in the United States of America. It’s a grassroots effort with the intent of igniting one individual at a time to be a catalyst for change.
“The origin of the name is important”, says Bob Anderson, President of What Are We Fighting For?â„¢. “‘What are We’ – we are citizens of the greatest country the world has ever seen. The mission of this association is to provide leadership and guidance, to coordinate individual and group activities across the nation in support of the troops and the re-Americanization of America. To remind citizens that freedom ain’t free and to tell ‘the rest of the story’ that is being ignored by the liberal media at the detriment of our country and those men and women who have volunteered to protect that country. ‘Fighting For?’ – this will mean different things for different people. We all have the responsibility to fight for those things that are important to us. A different way of stating this could be: take a stand for, step up-to-the-plate for, doing the hard thing for, doing the right thing for, doing the unpopular thing for, speak up for, sacrifice for, argue for, draw a line in the sand for or call to duty for. You have to define what is important to you and define the things that you are willing to fight for.”
“We believe that issues on the local, national and global levels are eroding and will continue to erode the liberties and freedoms won by our fore fathers and guaranteed by our Constitution. These issues have been created by special interest groups, rampant and uncontrolled illegal immigration, political agendas and biased news agencies more concerned with creating news than reporting it. We are dedicated to increasing individual awareness, citizenship, service and sacrifice.”
The basis of the organization is a belief that America is experiencing a loss of direction, misinformation, misdirection and confusion spread by individuals, groups and organizations whose political agendas and lack of integrity place this country and its citizens in jeopardy. The association is dedicated to acknowledging citizens for their sacrifices and service to this country and to offering guidance and assistance in the furtherance of groups supporting our troops, protecting and serving our country and living the American dream to the best of their abilities. This will be done through the What Are We Fighting For?â„¢ newsletter, web seminars, teleconferences, E-pamphlets, articles and other venues.
The membership fee if affordable – only $24.00 per year (that’s $2.00 per month – less than a gallon of gas). In exchange members receive significant benefits , making the modest membership fee a real value. Additionally, the association is committed to expanding and improving benefits as the association grows.
Bob says, “We are NOT a political activist organization! While we WILL discuss issues that affect our citizens and our nation, we shall NOT engage in bashing individuals. It is our intent to IGNITE not INFLAME that great ‘silent majority’ of Americans who want to see this country return to its roots, who support our Constitution, Bill of Rights and fundamental principles this country was founded on”.
