“Nothing to See Here” by David Post Slated For Release: Hailed as a frightening, real, and utterly gripping novel, Nothing to See Herewill be released August 1, 2007Â
Boston, MA(RUSHPRNEWS) May 15, 2007 – Nothing to See Here, the debut novel by Boston-based clinical psychologist David Post, is slated for release by The Beckham Publications Group on August 1, 2007. Â
A taut, unrelenting psychological thriller, Nothing to See Here (Beckham Publications Group, ISBN: 0-931761-29-8, $14.95) introduces Alan Sarnower. A successful, caring, congenial and well-respected psychiatrist, Sarnower finds himself in extraordinary circumstances when his wife Cassie, in the midst of a psychotic episode, suddenly leaves him and their young son.Â
When Cassie returns unexpectedly with a new lover and announces her intention to divorce, Sarnower’s life and sanity begin to unravel. As the bizarre and vindictive divorce proceeds, Sarnower’s once-disciplined life dissolves into a series of forgotten responsibilities and missed appointments. An affair with his seductive secretary provides only temporary relief from his frightening descent into mental illness. Â
As his comfortable suburban life recedes, Sarnower, now sicker than his patients, will be left with few choices. Â
Hailed as a don’t-start-this-one-at-night read, Nothing to See Here brims with intensity. According to Ed Miller, founder and former editor, The Harvard Post, Nothing to See Here is “the kind of story every small-town newspaper editor suspects is lurking behind the trimmed hedges and neocolonial facades but almost never gets to write about…. utterly gripping and shot through with psychological insight.â€Â
Post says the idea for the novel came from a real-life incident: “About eight years ago, there was a sensational murder involving a successful, prominent physician in Wellesley, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston.
The physician, who was a doctor of mine, was later found guilty of the grisly murder of his wife. I knew the doctor as superb, caring and immensely competent and the event led me to think about what could possibly drive a man of such accomplishment to commit such an awful act. It raised a number of questions in me.  How well do we know anyone? Is it even possible to know anyone? I thought that a fictional treatment might be the best way to deal with these questions. While the novel is in no way based on this particular case, it is based on the questions it raised in me.â€Â
Barry Beckham, Publisher at The Beckham Publications Group, commented, “Nothing to See Here is a spectacular and stunning psychological thriller that takes readers deep into a chilling and all-too-real world.  It is with great pleasure that we announce its forthcoming release.â€Â
David Post has been a practicing clinical psychologist in the Boston area for over 30 years. The Beckham Publications Group is an independent publisher based in Silver Spring, Maryland. Nothing to See Here will be available in better bookstores nationwide in August 2007.
