WARWICK, RI(RUSHPRNEWS) October 16, 2007-Seventeen “first time published” Rhode Island authors will be appearing with award winning movie director/producer and publisher Jonathan Raben at one big signing event on Friday Evening, October 19th.in Warwick, RI.

This unique event for local published authors from throughout Rhode Island has been promoted by the authors themselves these past few weeks to get a possible step up in the local artists’ community and even the broader publishing world.

“This is more than just signing and selling some books,” declared Melissa Chiavaroli, Community Relations Manager for event sponsor Barnes & Noble in Warwick . “We are shining our spotlight on local talent whose first time published works might go unnoticed. A book signing event on this scale gives each author a unique opportunity to invite prospective publishers, agents, publicists, movie producers and even friends or relatives and make them aware of their achievement and their potential for future works.”

”People who may have thought about writing a book or making a movie can benefit from talking to and learning from these published authors who have made their first big step.” Chiavaroli said. “These authors/artists recently made it into publication or film, and can easily remember and relate the pitfalls of getting to that first plateau. The event will be held at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 1350B Bald Hill Road in Warwick , Rhode Island on Friday, October 19th from 7pm to 9pm . Admission is free.
