SLEAZE ME… SINGING THE BLUES FOR PARIS
Toronto, ON (rushprnews) June 4, 2007- Canadian rockers Sapphire City has dedicated their latest track to Paris Hilton. The band hopes that the song will both comfort and inspire her while under confinement regardless of the temptations that she may encounter, here’s hoping that she will keep her stick on the ice as we say in Canada.Â
Based out of Fergus, Ontario, Sapphire City is set to become one of
Canada’s top Rock acts with a nod to 1970’s stadium grandeur, southern musical hospitality and memorable, anthemic melodicism.
And they have the chops to claim the mantle of New Kings of Classic Rock. The rhythm section of drummer Hayden Vialva (Fathead,Teenage Head, The Dice) and bassist Barry Bevan have a combined total of 40 years musical experience.
Add to that, singer Guy Smith who can mesmerize and emotionally drain an audience and lead guitarist Mike Carlo who can lay to waist lesser guitar shredders, and Sapphire City is a solid, unified force in less than three years with its rise through the ranks of the indie rock scene in Southern Ontario. Teaming up with War By Choice Management in early 2007 the band has already jumped headfirst into cyberspace with an impressive 15,000 plays on MySpace driven by a dedicated fan base of 5,000 members and counting.
Their battle plan now includes a debut CD called ‘All We Are’ slated for release in June 2007 on Bullseye Records of Canada and distributed nationally by FUSION III at retail. The album contains ten tasty cuts of impeccable classic riff and bluesy rock.
Expect the band to roll forward with national tour dates through 2007 to support the release.
