STEPHEN COLBERT, will.i.am, DAVID BYRNE PROVE LESS IS MORE WITH FIVE-WORD SPEECHES AT THE 12TH ANNUAL WEBBY AWARDS
NEW YORK (RUSHPRNEWS) 06/13/08 — From comedian Stephen Colbert to will.i.am to David Byrne, winners at Tuesday night's 12th Annual Webby Awards proved once again that less is more with a speedy procession of the awards' trademark five-word speeches. Unlike most awards ceremonies, The Webby Awards limit speeches to just five words.
"Me me me me me," said Colbert.
Colbert was honored for the innovative way he has used the Internet to interact with fans of The Colbert Report — from Google-bombing to make him the top search result for "greatest living American" to challenging the "truthiness" of Wikipedia to the "One Million Strong for Stephen T. Colbert" Facebook group.
