Stop Animal Cruelty In Quebec – Demonstration At L’INSPECTEUR CANIN Kill Dog Pound

ALERT TO ALL MEDIA !

Protest in front of “L’INSPECTEUR CANIN” dog pound

MONTREAL, (RPRN) APRIL 9, 2009-We advise you that we will be having a peaceful protest in front of a municipal dog pound where indescribable horrors are happening. Because we have 3 ex-employees from this hellish workplace that advised us of their inhumane and illegal ways of operating their business, (they will be at this demonstration, available for questioning) along with much proof accumulated over a long period of time, we must demand the closure of these facilities which serve over 37 municipalities in Lanaudière and the Laurentians. The mayors of these municipalities will be advised shortly of what is happening in this dog pound. Their euthanizing method is by “Gas Chamber” which is a cruel way to kill animals. It takes 10 to 20 minutes for the animals to die, without the tranquilizer in order to save money.

Furthermore, this pound is in conflict over having the power to grant permits to breeders in their region, having complete control over abandoned animals in the area which is mandated by the municipalities, by selling dog tags to animal owners but removing them upon finding the lost animals, having the dog breeding title (reproduce in order to kill more?), over the fact they currently own 3 pet shops in the Lanaudière area, plus the fact that profitable dogs go to the highest bidder or to their pet shops and the remaining hopefuls are sent to be euthanized in a cruel manner.

We are counting on your presence for this essential demonstration and the mayors in question will also be invited. Please come to the rescue of these animals.

Thank you to everyone who responds positively to the importance of our actions. Puppy mills exist and are bad enough, but dog pounds aren’t far behind… Let’s take action NOW!

For the last 2-3 years, thanks to you, the public is finally waking up. We are counting on your indispensable collaboration.
