– Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer at Madame Tussauds Hollywood, the famous wax museum brought out actor Vincent M. Ward, “Super Model” Cindy Crawford, child actress Bailee Madison, comedian BD Freeman and a host of celebrities all got behind an old fashioned lemonade stand to raise funds and awareness to fight childhood cancer.
This year honored the 10th Year Anniversary for the foundation. On Friday, June 11 – Sunday, June 13 at Madame Tussauds Hollywood, people of all ages and from all walks of life gave their outpouring support to the foundation. The turnout was phenomenal!
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is committed to finding a cure for all childhood cancers. To date, the foundation has funded over 150 research projects at more than 50 institutions across the country! In addition to funding cutting-edge research into finding better treatments and ultimately cures, they also fund nursing grants to improve the quality of life and care of children with cancer(http://www.alexslemonade.org/how-your-donation-helps).
When Vincent is not wearing his humanitarian hat, he’s spending time owning the role of an actor. The latest show his fans can find him on is Season 3 Episode 3 of True Blood on Sunday, June 27, 2010 9:00-10:00pm on HBO; Vincent plays Hollis the werewolf bar owner. Nevertheless, Vincent’s heart leads him to give back to the community in any way that he possibly can. As frequently said… if life gives you lemons make lemonade.
