Here is a quick recap of the recent events – Out of the blue a handful of people decided to attack YNA and its members ( some of the “attackers” are key figures in the Vita Nuda & Florida Young Naturists ). All of a sudden they started sending angry emails demanding that YNA remove some members from its Facebook group because they felt that they had some inappropriate content in their personal profiles and they even claimed that some of these people were “fake” and tried to shame them publicly to prove their point. When it turned out that the attackers were wrong they refused to apologize to YNA and / or the people they hurt.
For a period of 2 – 3 weeks they relentlessly kept posting derogatory on YNA’s Facebook page, their own websites and blogs. They also flooded YNA’s email with all kinds of demands and accusations. As things kept on getting worse, YNA decided to contact the American Association for Nude Recreation (or AANR for short) and ask that they intervene. Since one of the attackers is affiliated with AANR, YNA was hoping that they would take action. Unfortunately that did not happen and to date – AANR has remained quiet and ignored YNA’s repeated requests to issue a formal statement condemning the attacks on Young Naturists America & its members. The lack of action on the part of AANR is just one more indication that there seems to be growing disconnect between AANR and its due-paying members – it is quite apparent that the Nudist / Naturist movement is going through some changes and some groups are worried that the rapid growth of YNA might have a negative effect on their bottom line.
Instead of getting angry – YNA have decided to keep things positive by announcing their next big event which will take place on May 14 and is entitled – “Naked Schmooze & Booze” . Their parties have become quite the underground sensation, and every event sees an increase in attendance. People come once and seem to be drawn back again and again – the appeal of being totally nude and free, dancing, laughing and having a good time as though they were at any bar or club seems to strike a chord with the younger generation. YNA is reaching a point where they simply can’t accommodate the growing numbers of party goers.
I would not be surprised if by this time next year they will be throwing their “nude night outs” all over the USA. A little company with a lot of heart – let’s wish them good luck!
